My Approach

As an integrative therapist, I treat every client as a unique individual and use a customized combination of therapeutic approaches to address their concerns. I don't believe in labelling people based on their psychological health or in treating them with a static psychological model.

My techniques include:

  • Trauma-informed therapy
  • Psychosomatic therapy
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS, Dr. Richard Schwartz) aware
  • Compassionate Inquiry (CI, Dr. Gabor Maté)

Research proves that trauma has physical manifestations in our bodies such as aggravating existing medical conditions, creating muscle pains and digestive problems to name only a few. My work is unique because it goes beyond traditional talk therapies to address the somatic (physical) manifestations of psychological trauma.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions do I need to take?

There is no set timeline for healing. Therapy doesn't provide quick fixes or dictate what you need to do to solve your problems. Instead, therapists guide you toward uncovering the root causes of your issues and emotions through self-discovery. Each person has unique traumas and behavioral patterns, which heal and evolve in their own way.

By addressing the underlying causes of a client's challenges, therapy not only helps them navigate current difficulties but also equips them to manage future obstacles, fostering long-term growth and a happier life.

If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I recommend trying a single session to assess whether it helps you feel better.

How frequently do I have to take sessions?

In my experience, the most effective frequency is once per week. However, some individuals may prefer more or less frequent sessions, depending on their needs.

How long are your sessions?

My individual therapy sessions last sixty minutes, while couples therapy sessions are ninety minutes long.

If you feel you need more time, you can book a couples therapy session which lasts ninety minutes, instead of an individual session.

What happens in the first session?

In the first session, we explore the reasons that led the client to seek therapy, their goals for therapy, and work to uncover the root causes of their challenges. Each initial session is unique, as every client brings their own set of experiences, history, and personality.

Will you prescribe medications?

I am not a psychiatrist and do not prescribe medications. I believe that, in most cases, medication is not necessary and should be considered only as a last resort. I do not support creating dependency on medication as a long-term solution for mental health challenges.

Is confidentiality guaranteed?

Everything discussed during sessions is kept strictly confidential. However, an exception may be made in extraordinary circumstances, such as when the client expresses serious intent to harm themselves or others (e.g., plans for suicide, or violence).

In some cases, I may consult with other professionals for supervision or peer consultation, but this will be done without identifying you or sharing any personal details.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

I only offer online sessions.

Is there a difference between online and in-person sessions?

In my experience, online and in-person sessions are equally effective and impactful.
